Greetings from Lealta Premium Pet Products!

My name is Steve Del Savio, Owner & Founder of Lealta Premium Pet Products.

Well over a decade ago, I found my passion for dogs as I was in between careers and decided to walk a few dogs to make a little money to get me by while I figured out what the next step of my career path would be. Little did I know that the decision to walk some dogs would change my life forever.

As a child, I loved dogs and was always curious about their behavior. That led me to take up a hobby reading books, watching videos, volunteering at Animal Shelters and so on but I always viewed it as a hobby.

However, I quickly realized my hobby had turned into a passion for working with dogs on every dog walk. It was such gratifying work to help a dog learn to walk well on leash and fulfill their instinctual needs.

My dog walking clients begged me to help them with their dogs as they were hiring dog trainers, but getting no results. My clients saw how well behaved their dog was with me and how poorly behaved they were with them and wanted to know how I was doing it.

That led to my career helping people overcome dog behavior problems which I have been doing every single day since 2010.

We now own a beautiful 8-acre ranch called “The Maddie Ranch” where we offer dog training, boarding, daycare, behavior optimization, trail walks, biking and so much more.

Our Passion

Being in the dog business for this long, I’ve always had a problem finding high quality pet products to use for my own dogs and for our clients. Inflated prices, poor quality products and lack of customer service were just some of the issues when seeking the best possible products.

I was constantly being asked where to go to buy the highest quality pet products as my clients were having to guess what products were good, and which products weren’t.

After doing some research, it was quite obvious that the far majority of pet product stores were willing to sell anything and everything, regardless of quality, to turn a profit. I even had store owners brag to me how huge their profit margins were as they were ripping off their unassuming customers.

After sending what felt like the millionth email recommending a product to one of my clients, she emailed me back and said I should make an online store of all the products that professional dog trainers approve of. This would help to remove all the guesswork that comes with buying dog products. The dog world needs a place for people they can trust when shopping for their dog.

That was the lightbulb moment when I decided to create Lealta, an online shop that carries only Premium Pet Products that have been hand selected, tested and/or approved by professional dog trainers and veterinarians.
